Kazak rugs were woven in Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, and they are known for large-scale geometric patterns that consist of medallions or All-Over design.
Today, these rugs are woven by the Afghan people in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and they have kept the original geometrical patterns and designs.
There are various designs that consist of medallions, diamonds, latch-hooked zig-zags and other geometric shapes. However, it is the wonderful rich colors which make Kazak rugs stand out from others.
